Aleigh Turned 5 Today!

Just look at her, she thinks she is something as she models some of her new clothes she got for her birthday. She says "Moma, I am gonna be stylin'!" Of course I agree, she is stylin'!! I think she is beautiful!

It doesn't seem like she should be 5 years old. It make me want to cry. She was my firstborn, my sweet little Aleigh. I was a SAHM back then, and I just held her and rocked her everyday. As she got older, we played all day everyday. Now she is in preschool, cheer and tumble classes, writing, learning Bible verses.....It just amazes me how fast children grow! We have such a special bond, a bond like no other, that special mother-daughter bond. We get to do all those things that you can't do with dad, or with my son Averee. Like getting our nails done, shopping, fixing hair, you know "girl stuff". I love her very much and look forward to watching her continue to grow and thrive.

She is such a blessing to me and I thank God for her everyday. I pray everyday the when she is to the age of understanding that she (and Averee) will accept Jesus as Savior and live for Him, this is only one of my many prayers for my children. They truely are a gift from God! Psalms 127:3

Happy Birthday Averee!

After 3 long weeks of bedrest, fighting preterm labor and in and out of the hospital, Averee Lucas finally arrived two years ago today. Although he was 5 weeks early, he weighed in at 6lbs 7oz and was 19" long. He weighed the same as his big sister and was only 1" longer. How neat is that? Easy for me to remember! Don't you just love holding that sweet newborn? So tiny, so soft, smells so good!! I can't believe that he is 2 already. Time goes by so fast. Now he is two, still smells good, still soft, but not so tiny and doesn't want to be held so much anymore. But he is my sweet little boy and I thank God for blessing me with him everyday. Happy Birthday Averee!! Mommy loves you very much!!!!

Long Time, No Blog!

Well, it has been a while since my last blog. I don't even know if anyone ever reads my blog, but I enjoy reading them, (other people's blogs that is). We are still living with my in-laws, however we are a few steps closer to moving than we were in July. It is just a long drawn out process when it comes to moving. Especially a mobile home. We found an excellent deal on an excellent , BIG, doublewide and could not pass it up. So we have bought the trailer. Now we have to get a septic tank and get it moved. So that is where we are now. We are going to live by my parents on their land. Which I am so looking forward to! Once there, we plan to start saving again, to purchase land of our own so that we can build again.

In the midst of all that, football has started and can I get a ROLL TIDE ROLL??!!!! 6-0, I hope we go undefeated this year! Averee is absolutely obsessed with pootball and the dand (football and band). He loves going to games and watching them on TV. That is the only time he will be still. Maybe he will play for Bama one day! And I have been planning their birthday party. Averee will be 2 on 10/21 and Aleigh will be 5 on 10/23, so I decided to try having one party. I had 2 parties last year, and it was so expensive and chaotic to have parties 2 weekends in a row. So we will try having one this year and see how that turns out. We are having a Spongebob Squarepants luau party. I have been planning it for months and months and I think I have it all together. I am anxious to see how it turns out. I can't believe they are 2 and 5 already. They grow so fast! I love my children and every moment I have with them. Even the high stressed, nerve racking moments. I try to cherish every moment I have with them. They are such a blessing. And I agree with you Kaitlin, high school and college years are not the best years of your life, these are. I am very happy and blessed! Psalms 23:5

Fun Day at Granny's

This past Thursday we all ate dinner at Granny' house. Granny and Josh cooked fresh vegetables and it was delicious. Besides eating, Averee got to play with his twin cousins. They always have a good time together, they are a handful though!

Work

It's been a busy day at work today. Sometimes the day goes by fast, others it seems to drag. Today hasn't been dragging at all, it has been a crazy day! I am so thankful for a job where I can only work part time. It is a blessing to have 4 days home with my family, but also a blessing to have 3 days at work. Work seems to be the only place I get rest....odd uh? Working provides adult conversation, friendships, and keeps me up on my nursing skills. However, I am ready for the day to be over so I can go home and enjoy time with my husband and kids. I am ready for the weekend!

STRESSED!!

The past week has probably been one of the most stressful weeks of my life! Besides stressful, it has also been exhausting and hectic. We are moving......you never know how much stuff you have until you start packing. It seems as though it is never ending. I keep thinking that we are almost done, maybe we can get the rest tomorrow and be finished. But we are still not finished! I think it's multiplying. I wish we were rich and could hire a moving company! It might be a little easier if we had another house to move it all to...........but seeing as how my husband and I can't decide what area we want to live, we have bought nothing. We are staying with my in-laws. So our whole house is being put in storage. With all that, both kids have been sick. Aleigh had an ear infection. She spiked a fever the night before we started moving. then Averee spiked a fever of 104.7 Wed night and stayed up all night, I think we finally drifted off to sleep about 5:33am Thursday morning. I had to take off work Thursday and take him to the pediatrician....his ears were clear, but he had a viral infection. I have held him for 2 days straight....you know how they always want mommy when they are sick. They are finally better and actually went to the lake today with Nana and Poppy to ride the boat, while Josh and I spent some much needed time alone. Thank you Nana and Poppy! We are going to attempt to finish moving Monday, I think we can finish up then....LOL!!! Thank the Lord, we are going back to the beach next week.

My First Blog

I have been considering blogging for some time now. Some fellow bloggers have finally talked me into it. So here goes..... I have been at work all day. My stomach has been growling for unknown reasons??? and Lisa has been getting a big laugh out of it. I am very tired and stressed from moving and packing. We are now officially homeless. We are staying with my in-laws until we can decide where we want to live and what we want. Yes, I said living with in-laws........so yes, I need you prayers!! LOL! I named my blog "My Cup Runneth Over" because I am so blessed. I have the most wonderful husband in the world, 2 beautiful children, and wonderful family and friends. I could go on and on, but my blog title says it all!!
